Thank you all for the passion that you bring into George Courey Inc every day. Thank you for always being dedicated to achieving the best for the company. Thank you for exceeding expectations with every task you do. Thank you for making me feel like I am with family, every time I walk into the office.

And most of all, thank you for making my decision to accept the position of President and CEO of George Courey Inc an easy one.

Leading this company is an honor, a privilege, and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. It is a responsibility not only to our multiple stakeholders, be it customers, suppliers, coworkers, shareholders, but also to multiple generations of Coureys who have come before me. A successful 110-year-old family business is not something that just happens overnight – it is a result of many years of collaboration, diligence, and determination. Together we will strive to honor the legacy of our past, by marching into the future with the pursuit of adding value to our partners through a dynamic approach founded on transparency and integrity.

Stepping into a new year, as well as a new decade, always makes one reflect. How have we changed over the past years? How do we want to change in the upcoming years? George Courey Inc is in the midst one of the most exciting chapters in our profound history.

Over just the last few years, we have transformed the way in which we approach business by using technology, people and process to focus on our customers and our customer experience. This has resulted in tremendous growth and laid the foundation to compound that growth for many years to come. We have invested in R&D initiatives, expanded our reach into the US market and restructured our leadership core in order to sustain this incredible progress. Not only are we bringing the 4th generation of Coureys to the helm of the company, but we are proud to have gender balance on our executive team, and continuously work to support our employees’ career growths.

As we move forward, we will continue to place an emphasis on innovation, both in terms of product and process, in order to stay ahead of the competition and provide our customers with practical solutions to real problems. By leveraging our significant market knowledge together with our production expertise and intimate understanding of our industry, we aim to bring value to our customers by providing them with products that evolve and adapt.

The industries that we are part of, healthcare and hospitality, are both experiencing transformative periods of which we need to continue to be at the forefront. We will not shy away from market influencers like climate change and globalization but instead we will use them to truly make a difference. These are not threats to our industry, but real opportunities that need to be cultivated and developed strategically to have a positive impact. The future is indeed bright.

I consider it a privilege of a lifetime to work with all of you. Together we will celebrate successes, learn from failures and make a difference in both our industries and the communities that we serve.
